STATE REQUIREMENTS FOR LICENSURE
North Carolina:
As of May 5, 2011, Maiden School of Massage and Bodywork Therapy became a Board Approved School. During 1999, all massage therapy schools and massage and bodywork therapists became governed by the North Carolina Board of Massage and Bodywork Therapy. As of December 31, 2000, graduates of Board approved schools take the National Certification Exam for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork. After passing the exam, they are eligible to apply to the Board for licensure as a Massage and Bodywork Therapist.
Pursuant to NC G.S. 90-629.1, the North Carolina Board of Massage and Bodywork Therapy may deny a license to practice massage and bodywork therapy if an applicant has a criminal record or there is other evidence that indicates the applicant lacks good moral character.
You must hold a North Carolina Massage and Bodywork Therapy license to practice massage and bodywork therapy in North Carolina.

Renee Hicks founded Maiden School of Massage & Bodywork Therapy in the fall of 2010 with her husband Brad. Renee is a licensed Massage Therapist and has been providing massage therapy for over (20) plus years. Renee's passion for massage goes further than just her and Brad as (2) years after Renee received her license to provide massage therapy she became a licensed instructor and has been teaching massage therapy for nearly (21) years.

- Part -Time – Night Program in 20 months it rotates between Mon/Tues Night or Wed/Thurs nights
